- Grew up the son of a Lutheran pastor.
- Received Christ his senior year in high school.
- Graduated from the University of Georgia (Go DAWGS!) with a business degree in 1983.
- Served as the College Pastor for four years at Grace Church in Edina, MN from 1983-1987.
- Earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1990.
- Served as the Sr. Pastor of the First Evangelical Free Church (First Free) in Onalaska, WI from 1990-2008 where he led the church in growth from 80 to 1400 regular attenders. During this time the church outgrew their old sanctuary, rented high schools for 11 years, and built a beautiful 52,000 square foot facility on 20 acres of land.
- Received a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity International University in 2004 with an emphasis on discipleship and leadership development.
- Hosted a live call-in radio show called “Faith on Trial” for three years while pastoring First Free.
- Just completed writing a book “Pastoring with Passion” which will be coming out this summer.
- Currently serves as the Pastor of Discipleship and Spiritual Growth at Watkinsville First Baptist Church in Watkinsville, Georgia and as a stewardship consultant with Injoy Stewardship Solutions.
- Enjoys hunting, fishing, walks with his wife, dates with his children, motorcycle riding, tennis, and about anything outdoors.
- Most importantly, has been married to Dede for 23 years and has four children (Catherine - 18, Michael - 17, Josiah - 14, and Sarah Beth - 11).
